How the pricing works

Four rules, and they do not change between a Tuesday lunchtime and a Sunday at 2 a.m.

Flat rate, not an estimate

Each service has a published price. The dispatcher reads you the same rate card at 4 a.m. that they read at 4 p.m., and that number is what you pay.

One dispatch fee

A flat $19 covers sending a technician and equipment to your location — no mileage add-ons and no fuel surcharge, wherever you are in our coverage area.

Parts quoted installed

Batteries and tires are quoted as an installed price — the part and the labor together, with no separate trip charge stacked on top.

Nothing else

No after-hours rate, no weekend premium, no holiday multiplier and no cancellation fee if you get going before we arrive.

Pricing questions

How much does roadside assistance cost?

Every Salazar service is flat-rate and quoted before we roll: lockouts $65 standard, $75 push-button start, $89 luxury and European; jump starts $60-$75; tire labor from $75 (plus $129-$189 if a new tire is needed); mobile battery replacement $249-$289 installed. A flat $19 dispatch fee applies to each call and nothing changes based on the hour, the weather, or how far you are from the shop.

Are you cheaper than a tow or a shop visit?

In almost every case, yes. A tow plus a shop ticket typically runs $150-$300 before any repair labor, and your car sits until the shop opens. Salazar fixes the problem where the vehicle is parked, so a flat repair is $75 in labor and a battery is $249-$289 installed — one flat price, no tow bill, and you drive away the same visit.

What is the $19 dispatch fee for?

It is the flat charge for sending a technician and equipment to your location, and it is the only fee on top of the service rate. There is no mileage charge, no fuel surcharge and no separate call-out fee stacked behind it.

Do you charge extra at night, on weekends or on holidays?

No. Our rates are the same at 3 a.m. on Thanksgiving as they are at noon on a Tuesday. Salazar does not run after-hours surcharges, surge pricing or emergency multipliers.

Do you require a membership or subscription?

No. Salazar is a pay-per-service operator. You call, we help, you pay for that visit. There are no annual dues, no enrollment and no coverage limits.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards and common mobile payment apps. Payment is collected when the work is complete.

What if the problem turns out to be something else?

We stop and tell you before doing anything additional. If a jump start reveals a failed alternator or a tire is unsafe to repair, you hear the options and the price before we continue.

Do you bill through roadside coverage or insurance?

We are an independent service and bill you directly. Many motor clubs and insurers reimburse out-of-network roadside calls, and we provide an itemized receipt you can submit.
