New tires: what you get for the price
New tires run $129-$189 installed, and the spread is almost entirely size. A 205/55R16 on a commuter sedan sits at the bottom; a 275/55R20 on a half-ton truck sits at the top. Mounting labor and pressure setting are included in that figure rather than added afterwards.
We will also tell you honestly when you do not need a new tire. If the puncture is a nail in the middle of the tread and the tire has life left, a repair at $35-$45 is the right answer and we will say so.
Used tires: how we decide what is safe to sell
A used tire is only worth buying if someone actually checked it. Every used tire we carry is measured for remaining tread depth, inspected inside and out for liner damage and previous repairs, checked for sidewall bulges, cuts and shoulder plugs, and read for its DOT manufacture date so nothing aged-out goes on a customer's car.
Used makes the most sense in three situations: you need one tire to match three that are still good, the vehicle is close to trade or lease end, or the money has to work today. In all three cases you get the depth measurement in writing before you agree to it.
One tire, a pair, or all four
On an all-wheel-drive vehicle, a big difference in rolling diameter across an axle puts load through the center differential, so a matched pair — sometimes a full set — is the right call and we will explain why.
On a front or rear-wheel-drive car with healthy tread elsewhere, a single tire is perfectly fine. We are a roadside operator, not a tire store with a monthly quota, so the recommendation is whatever actually matches the condition of your other three tires.

What tire size do I need?
It is printed on the sidewall of your current tire in a format like 225/65R17, and repeated on the placard inside the driver's door jamb. Read us those numbers, or send a photo of the sidewall. If the tires on the vehicle are a non-factory size we will confirm against the door placard before ordering.
Do I need to be with the vehicle?
Not necessarily. We regularly fit tires at apartment complexes, office parks and job sites while the owner is inside. We just need access to the vehicle and the keys if the wheels have to be turned.

Do I have to replace tires in pairs?

Are used tires safe?
A good used tire is safe; a bad one is not, and the difference is inspection. Every used tire we sell has adequate remaining tread, an intact sidewall with no bulges or plug scars in the shoulder, no interior liner damage and a manufacture date that is not aged out. If a tire does not pass, we do not carry it — and we would rather sell you nothing than sell you that.
How much do used tires cost?
Used tires are quoted on the call by size and availability, and they routinely come in well under the $129-$189 range for a new tire. They make the most sense when you need one tire to match three good ones, when a lease is nearly up, or when the budget simply has to work today.
How much tread does a used tire have left?
We measure and tell you the actual depth before you buy. New passenger tires start around 10/32 of an inch; legal minimum in Texas is 2/32. Anything we sell has meaningful life left, and we will tell you roughly how long to expect.
Fitting
Do you balance the tire?
We set pressure to the door-jamb specification and check the TPMS sensor on every fitting. Road-force balancing needs a shop machine — if you feel a vibration at highway speed afterwards, get it balanced at a shop, and we will tell you when we think that is worth doing.
What happens to my old tire?
We take it away and recycle it at no extra charge unless you want to keep it.
