Why the light comes on in Texas
Air pressure moves roughly 1 PSI for every 10 degrees of temperature change. The first cold snap after a Texas summer sets off pressure lights across the whole Metroplex on the same morning — often with no leak at all.
A light that will not go out is telling you something
If the light stays on after the tires are correctly inflated, either something is still leaking or a sensor has failed. TPMS sensor batteries are sealed and typically last five to ten years, so on an older vehicle a dead sensor is common.

- Diesel and heavy-duty pickups. Commercial-grade jump packs and heavy-duty tire tooling ride on the truck, so a three-quarter-ton diesel is a first-trip job.

- Motorcycles. We do not take motorcycle roadside calls. Tell the dispatcher and we will point you to a motorcycle-equipped operator instead of sending a truck that cannot help.
- Semi tractors and heavy equipment. Class 8 trucks, trailers and construction equipment need heavy-duty recovery, which is a different trade and a different truck.

- 1Get off the travel lane if the vehicle still movesAim for the right shoulder, an exit ramp or the nearest lot. A car sitting in a live lane on I-35W or LBJ is the single most dangerous place to wait.
- 2Hazards on, wheels turned away from trafficTurn on your hazard lights before you do anything else, and point the front wheels away from the road so a struck vehicle does not roll into traffic.
- 3Get out on the passenger side and stand behind the barrierIf you leave the vehicle, exit away from traffic and wait behind the guardrail or well up the embankment — never between your car and oncoming traffic, and never in front of the vehicle.

Why is my tire pressure light on when the tires look fine?
Tires can be 8-10 PSI low and still look normal. A cold morning after a hot week is the single most common cause in DFW.
What does a flashing TPMS light mean?
A flashing light for a minute at start-up usually means a sensor fault, not a pressure problem. A solid light means at least one tire is under pressure.
Can you replace a dead TPMS sensor?
We diagnose the sensor and tell you which one has failed. Replacement requires dismounting the tire, which we handle on site where the wheel allows.
What pressure should my tires be?
Use the placard in the driver's door jamb, not the number on the tire sidewall — that one is a maximum, not a recommendation.
Do you fill tires with nitrogen?
We use compressed air. Topping a nitrogen-filled tire with air is safe and does not damage anything.
