Quick answer

Salazar Roadside Assistance matches and installs car batteries across Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Austin. Give the dispatcher your year, make, model and engine and we identify the correct BCI group size, terminal orientation, cold-cranking amps and chemistry, then bring that battery to you and fit it. Installed price is $249-$289 depending on the battery, plus the $19 flat dispatch fee.

The four numbers that decide your battery

Group size is the physical case and terminal layout — a group 48 will not sit in a tray made for a group 35 and the cables will not reach. Cold-cranking amps must meet or exceed the factory figure, never fall short of it. Reserve capacity matters if your commute is short. And chemistry decides everything else.

Flooded lead-acid is fine for older vehicles with no stop-start system. Anything with automatic engine stop-start, a large infotainment load or a European badge usually specifies AGM, and fitting a flooded battery in an AGM application kills it inside two years.

  • BCI group size matched to the tray and cable reach
  • Terminal orientation confirmed so cables reach without strain
  • Cold-cranking amps at or above the factory figure
  • AGM specified where the vehicle's charging system requires it
  • Battery management system reset on vehicles that need it

Is the battery even the problem?

Before selling you anything we load-test the existing battery and test the alternator's output. A battery that reads 12.6 volts at rest and holds under load is not your fault; a charging system putting out 13.1 volts is. Replacing a good battery to chase an alternator fault is the most common wasted spend in roadside work.

Installed at your location

We fit the battery where the vehicle sits, clean the terminals and clamps, secure the hold-down, verify charging output after the swap and take the old battery away for core recycling. Nothing about it requires a shop visit.

How the call works

  1. 1Give the dispatcher the year, make, model and engine.
  2. 2We identify the correct group size, CCA and chemistry and quote the installed price.
  3. 3The technician tests the existing battery and charging system on arrival.
  4. 4The matched battery is fitted, output is verified and the old one is recycled.

Answers

Car Battery Finder questions, answered

How do I know what battery my car takes?

You do not have to. Give us the year, make, model and engine and we look up the BCI group size, terminal layout and cranking amps before we load the truck.

How much is a battery installed in DFW?

$249-$289 installed, depending on the group size and whether the vehicle requires AGM, plus the $19 flat dispatch fee. That includes fitting, terminal cleaning, a charging-system test and core recycling.

Do I need an AGM battery?

If your vehicle has automatic stop-start, a heavy electrical load or came from the factory with AGM, yes. Fitting a flooded battery in those applications shortens its life dramatically.

How long does a car battery last in Texas?

Three to five years. Heat, not cold, is what kills batteries here — a Dallas summer is harder on a battery than a Chicago winter.
